Commissioning a portrait can be an emotional experience, just as painting one can be. An oil painting, properly cared for, will outlive us all. It has the ability to hold the spirit of someone we love — even after they’re gone — offering a place to pause, to remember, and to smile.

I am a traditionally trained artist from London, now living and working in Northumberland. I work predominantly in oils and am drawn to the challenge of translating a three-dimensional presence — sometimes four, if you count personality — into paint.
